Tutoring and Performing Arts

    

 At Light The Way, we understand the importance of after-school activities that help students connect with their culture and themselves, build discipline, and improve their interest in learning. That's why we offer engaging and fun programs that includes tutoring for grades K-6 in reading, literacy, and math, as well as classes in sewing, dance, and theater.

 

 

Our goal is to offer extracurricular

opportunities in the Arts, as well as

in Learning to children in the

community, who struggle to get

those opportunities because either

their school doesn't offer it or they

have been told they don't qualify or

have what it takes to be a part of

something. We want to offer our

youth a chance to understand

what being a part of the community

is all about, learn how to give back,

learn new skills, improving their reading and comprehension skills,  learn confidence, build their disciplines in learning and creative arts, learn life skills like sewing, and  improving themselves to become the best they can be.

Our Arts and Performing arts classes cover a variety of styles which include:  Modern, Contemporary,  Hip Hop, Jazz, Step, African Dance, Acting, Modeling, and Sewing.
